Please pray for 7 year old Julia (the daughter of a friend of ours). Julia was diagnosed with viral encephalitis. This was determined once she was med-vac back from Cancun on a air ambulance. She is currently on the neurological floor of Boston Childrens Hospital. For those that do not know, viral encephalitis is when the brain becomes swollen. Currently the right side of her brain is severly swollen affecting her speech and movement. At this time, we do not know the cause of the infection. Please keep Julia in your thoughts and prayers..

I know I haven't been to mass in quite sometime. And to be honest I haven't prayed in quite awhile either but Lifeteen was always a place of solace for me throughout my high school years. I'm just asking for some prayers right now as I'm facing some stressors in my life. Such as starting a new job next week. Also, after a routine physical my doctor informed me that they found some abnormal cells and would be needing to perform some more tests including a Biopsy. I'm more nervous about the procedure than the results right now so I'm just asking for some prayers to help me remain calm and anxiety-free as I await for my appointment, and during my procedure. A couple things: A student at my schools mother died suddenly last night, and he was already having a rough transition to high school. Please keep him in your prayers. He is in a drug induced coma because his head trama is so bad and he had his left kidney removed two nights ago to stop both internal and external bleeding. Due to a life/death situation for her and her mother, she was delivered 12 weeks early weighing only 1 pound 9 ounces. She is 12 inches long. Tori is alive and well because our God is an awesome God! She has an amazing christian family and devoted friends behind her. This family faces a tough road ahead, and I ask that you pray for God's strength to be more evident than ever before in their lives. I also ask that you pray for Tori's continued progress and health. Please keep Josie's mother, Rose, in your prayers, she has had so many complications and set backs since her carotid artery surgery on 6/14. Rose is back in ICU after having a stroke and more surgery on Thursday for bleeding. She is paralyzed on her left side and will have a CT scan today to determine the extent of damage from the stroke. Please pray for the father of a dear friend of mine who I went to college with. He is scheduled for a CT and EEG scan in the upcoming 2 weeks; the doctors are not sure that he may have a brain tumor or Alzheimer's. He is a father and grandfather and his family is very concerned about that his health continues to deteriorate. Also pray for his family that they get the strength they need to care for him.
